FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
At Cremation Creations, customer satisfaction is our highest priority. Below are some frequently asked questions to help you find the information you need. Feel free to contact us with any additional thoughts or questions.
We accept credit/debit cards, cash, or PayPal.
1. Once we receive the ashes, we will take a picture of the package and your order and send it to you via text message. This will confirm that we have received your ashes and will show you the condition in which they arrived. You will have the option to change or edit your order before we begin production. Please note that once we start working on the order, we cannot make any changes to opal colors, ring size, or other specifications.
2. When your order is ready to be processed, you will receive another text message notifying you. From this point on, you will receive regular updates until your item is complete.
3. The next message will include a picture of the ring (if you have chosen one). This image will show the ring core alongside a size chart to ensure we provide you with the correct ring size.
4. Once Cremation Creations begins inlaying the ashes into the jewelry, you will receive an additional message with a picture showing the ashes inside the jewelry. This will help eliminate any doubts about whether the ashes are indeed incorporated.
5. At this stage, we will assist you in selecting a color or creating a mix of colors that will make the ring even more special to you. We offer 92 colors of crushed opal, abalone, colored flakes, and sparkles to choose from!
6. Once your ring is completed, you will receive a picture of the final result. If you would like to send us a photo, we can incorporate it into a montage alongside the jewelry, creating a beautiful tribute to your loved one.
Absolutely! It would be an honor. In fact, 80% of our clients come to us to create jewelry pieces using the ashes of their departed loved ones.
Once you place your order, please mail your cremation ashes to us using USPS Priority shipping. You can find detailed instructions on how to ship the ashes here: [Shipping Instructions](https://www.cremationcreations.net/shipping-instructions).
After we receive the ashes, it will take 1-2 weeks to create your keepsake, followed by an additional 3-5 days for shipping, depending on your location. All items are sent via USPS with extra insurance included. We only charge you the actual shipping cost.
YES! We offer the largest variety of crushed opal colors in the USA, with a total of 92 options available. Additionally, we do not charge extra for custom mixes of opal colors.
To ship a small amount of ash (about 1/2 teaspoon), please follow these instructions:
1. Place the ash in a ziplock bag, ensuring it is securely sealed.
2. Double-bag the ziplock bag by placing it inside another ziplock bag.
3. Remove all air from both bags before sealing them.
4. Clearly write your contact information on the outer bag.
5. Ship the package using express mail or priority mail.
This method is recommended to prevent the bag from bursting due to pressure changes during transit, especially when traveling by plane or through mountainous regions.
The United States Postal Service advises that cremated remains should be mailed via express mail. However, we recommend that our clients use standard priority shipping with tracking and insurance.
Please note that the cost of shipping cremains to Cremation Creations is the buyer's responsibility and may vary due to shipping distances and rates around the world.
Additionally, all shipping fees at checkout will cover the return of completed jewelry to you via USPS. The return shipping cost may be slightly higher because the package will be insured.

We only need a small amount of ashes—approximately ½ teaspoon, depending on the size of the item—to create the jewelry. We will return any unused ashes to you along with the completed piece of jewelry via USPS. If you prefer not to have the unused ashes returned, please let us know before the jewelry is shipped.
We craft our jewelry using durable materials, but please note that they are not indestructible. If jewelry is subjected to forces such as striking or banging, it may become scratched or even break. Materials like titanium, gold, stainless steel, silver, tungsten, and wood can be gouged, bent, cracked, or broken. The inlaid materials—whether they consist of cremation ashes (cremains), crushed opal, crushed stone, semi-precious stones, or other substrates—may be less durable than the ring or setting itself. These inlaid materials can chip or break off if exposed to harsh conditions, including extreme temperatures, chemicals, strong cleansers, or mechanical stress.
**30-Day "No Hassle" Limited Warranty Repair Policy:**
Your purchase of Cremation Creations Jewelry includes a FREE "no hassle" 30-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects. If your jewelry exhibits a manufacturing defect (such as chipping or breaking), we will repair it at no cost to you, once. To initiate a repair, please email us a clear photo of the defective item showing the visible defect within 30 days of your original order date. If a replacement is not available, we may offer a similar style of ring or other jewelry of the same value. If your jewelry contains cremation remains, you may need to send the jewelry back along with additional ashes to Cremation Creations.
One (1) single replacement within the first 30 days of the warranty period is your exclusive remedy for any jewelry purchased with a manufacturing defect. This is our entire liability to you for any breach of the limited warranty outlined herein. Please note that you do not have the right to return any ring purchased from us for a replacement or refund, as specified in the return policy and this limited warranty. No returns or warranties will be granted after the initial 30 days.
If we receive an item for repair and determine that the damage was caused by abnormal environmental conditions, exposure to harsh chemicals, or negligence, the item will be returned to you at your expense, along with an explanation.
**Repair of Natural Materials:** If any material in your item becomes damaged, please contact us immediately so we can assess whether it can be repaired (a fee may apply depending on the extent of the damage). We will provide you with the available repair options.
**Note:** If you take the ring to any other jeweler for resizing, repair, or cleaning of any kind, the guarantee will be void. This applies to any and all alterations made to your ring.
**Limited Warranty Information**
Please note the following regarding the warranty for your jewelry:
1. **Exclusions**: Damage or loss of semi-precious stones is not covered by any guarantee. This limited warranty does not apply to loss or theft and is non-transferable, meaning it is only valid for the original purchaser. You will be responsible for shipping charges both ways.
2. **Exceptions**: The limited warranty does not cover:
- Size changes due to weight loss or gain
- Changes in ring thickness
- Scratches or damage caused by abuse, exposure to harsh chemicals (such as acids, fuels, ammuniations, solvents, or abrasives), negligence, or use contrary to care instructions
- Loss of the ring
3. **Wood Rings**: Please be aware that any apparent water damage to wooden rings will void your limited warranty, as natural wood rings are not designed to be submerged in liquid. It is advisable to remove these rings before swimming, washing your hands, or engaging in any activity involving water.
If your jewelry piece becomes damaged, please stop using it immediately. Further use may cause additional damage, loosen the substrate, or create sharp edges that could injure you or damage property. Cremation Creations will not be held liable for any property damage or personal injury resulting from the use of items that are not properly maintained.
If we suspect that you are misusing any warranty while under the limited warranty, or if you make a false claim of defect, we reserve the right to void your limited warranty.
EXCEPT FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, YOUR PURCHASE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. EACH RING IS SOLD "AS-IS," AND WE MAKE NO OTHER WARRANTIES REGARDING OUR PRODUCTS, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE, OR OTHERWISE.
Under no circumstances shall Cremation Creations, or its managers, members, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, or suppliers, be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise. This includes any claims related to your ownership, wear, or use of any product purchased from us, or any claims for personal injury or death.
Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent of the item purchase cost.
Please email us at ken@cremationcreations.net if you would like to discuss this further. Thank you for shopping at Cremationcreations.net.
Due to the personalized nature of our products, custom-made items cannot be returned. In some states, the return of certain jewelry items is deemed illegal.
Please keep in mind that there are natural variations in the materials used to create each item. For example, the colors and "play of color" in opals, natural stones like turquoise, shell products (such as mother of pearl), wood grain, and the ashes or cremains themselves are all unique. It is the combination of these different materials that makes each keepsake one-of-a-kind.
Other items on our website that are not personalized may be returned for a refund, unless they have been tampered with or damaged after you receive them, or if they have previously contained ashes.
